ARJUNA'S BOW - GANDIVA
When a typical blind Karna fan starts losing debate over Karna - Arjuna superiority,their excuse is Arjuna fought with the celestial Gandiva bow,hence threw Karna out of the battlefield.
Its like giving the credit of Sachin Tendulkar's performance to his MRF Bat :P
In this post we shall blow this very foolish argument of Karna fans.

Answer lies in Khandava Dahan.
Arjuna used Gandiva Bow because ordinary bows could not bear the strength of his arms and the might which he puts forth in battle.
Narrative:

I have numberless excellent celestial weapons with which I can fight even many wielders of the thunderbolt. But, O exalted one, I have no bow suited to the strength of my arms, and capable of bearing the might I may put forth in battle.

Now it should be crystal clear that Arjuna used Gandiva bow so that he can show his complete strength in battle. Infact if Arjuna did not used Gandiva,the it would have been an unfair battle,because Arjuna could not have shown his complete strength of Arms with ordinary bow as it would have broken if he tried to put his full strength onto it.

Here its clearly written that Gandiva could have been strung only by Arjuna and Bhima and of course Lord Krishna,no other human could have strung Gandiva.
So Arjuna and Bhima capable of Stringing Gandiva bow itself proves that they both were superior to all Archers on Earth which includes the Kuru greats too.
Even Lord Krishna accepted this -
Krishna himself says that among Kshatriyas who wield a bow,its Arjuna who fights with Brahma's bow Gandiva,which no one else can wield and hence this itself proves that there is no one who is equal to Arjuna.
(No one else is capable of wielding the bow Gandiva which Arjuna wields,hence it proves that there is no one who is equal to Arjuna)
Narrative:
Amongst all Kshatriyas, invincible in battle, that wield the bow, amongst the very gods, I have not seen or heard of even one that is equal to thee. The Creator of all beings, viz., Brahma himself created the great bow Gandiva with which thou fightest, O Partha! For this reason there is no one that is equal to thee.

Fighting with Vijaya bow made an ordinary warrior special.
But to Fight with Gandiva,a warrior needed to be special.
Yes,absolutely,Karna Vijaya bow could have been wielded by most warriors.In Udyoga Parva we see Rukmi carrying Indra's Vijaya bow with him.

And Rukmi was a disciple of that lion among the Kimpurushas who was known by the name of Drona, having his abode on the mountains of Gandhamadana. And he had learnt from his preceptor the whole science of weapons with its four divisions. And that mighty-armed warrior had obtained also the bow named Vijaya of celestial workmanship, belonging to the great Indra

So now if Rukmi can wield Vijaya bow,then many other warriors who are superior to Rukmi could have also could have wielded it.
But Wielding the Gandiva bow was not an easy task.Except the Gods,no one else apart from Arjuna and Bhimasena could have wielded it.Only the special ones could have stringed the Gandiva bow.

Karna fans say that Arjuna was able to overpower and defeat Karna because of Gandiva bow.Really ? Lets analyse-
Advantages Arjuna got from Gandiva:
1)Higher fire rate of arrows.
2)Unbreakable bow.

As posted earlier,the high fire rate was a courtesy of the Strength of Arjuna's arms and not Gandiva.The Gandiva was just a catalyst here.Give Gandiva to Shakuni,he wont be able to shoot one arrow from it :P
Lord Shiva always fights with Pinaka bow,because ordinary bows can't bear the strength of Lord's arms.Similarly Krishna or Vishnu always fight with Saranga bow for the same reason.Lord Rama always fought with his Vishnu Chapa bow.So as per the logic of Karna lovers,all victories of Shiva/Vishnu should be credited to their bows and not them,ROFL What logic.

This point is still makes a little sense that Gandiva was unbreakable,hence Arjuna didn't have to change his bow every time when it got broken.
But.....The strings of Gandiva were still breakable.Ashwathama proved it in Viraat Yudh -

Tying a new string takes as much time as changing the bow. Then so many times when Karna was mangled by Arjuna like in Viraat yudh and in Kurukshetra especially on Day 14,why couldn't he cut off Gandiva's Strings just as Ashwathama did ???
Karna was able to cut off the Strings of Gandiva on 17th Day when he used Vijaya bow and when Arjun never attempted to cut off Vijaya's bow strings.While Ashwatama did the same feat with an ordinary bow.This proves that Ashwathama was more skilled than Karna :P
So this Propaganda of Karna fans unfortunately doesn't work :D
Friends,There is nothing such as fight on 'Equal Footings' as per Mahabharat.These all propagandas have been invented in Kaliyuga by jerks for saving the image of their loser heroes.In the entire Mahabharat,nowhere is it written that Karna lost because he was on unequal footing.Its jus the invention of Karna lovers.
Infact whenever Karna was bashed by Karna hate club,viz Bhishma,Drona and Kripa,for his defeats and fleeing at Viraat and Gandharvas,he always accepted them,never does Karna say that he lost because he did not carry his Vijaya bow ROFL :P
Moreover Karna not using Vijaya bow proves that he was a Noob and an Amateur warrior who does not even have the sense to choose his weapons.This decision of Karna puts him even out of the league of an 'Ardha-Rathi'.Even an Ardha Rathi knows that he should use his best bow when he wants to become the best archer of the world.
