MISCONCEPTION :- AS PER BORI CE ARJUNA WAS DEFEATED BY ROBBERS
Well as we all know that our Mahanayak Arjuna has many stupid haters who very well know Jishnu was incapable of getting defeated even by the gods that's why they are performing comedy on their pages by saying that according to BORI CE Arjuna was defeated by robbers. So now I will expose them just for time pass
The thread is divided in four parts :-
1). Misconception about "Vimna Partho"
2). Meaning of every word used in the shloka
3). Mistranslation by Bibek Debroy
4). Correct translation of the shloka

1). Misconception about "Vimna Partho"
Here's the meaning of विमना
Vimna = Cheerless
http://sanskritdictionary.com/?iencoding=iast&q=विमना+&lang=sans&action=Search
http://spokensanskrit.org/index.php?mode=3&script=hk&tran_input=vimana&direct=au
Here's the meaning of विमान
Vimana = Aeroplane/ Flight
http://spokensanskrit.org/index.php?mode=3&script=hk&tran_input=vimana&direct=au
So as you all can see, Sanskrit dictionary defines Vimna as cheerless not flight but as you all know our illiterate blondries are expert in misinterpretating the texts and mistranslating verses to fool the public.Blondries can't even read properly what is written in the shloka that's why they consider vimna and vimana to be of same meaning 😂😂😂
So now we can safely conclude that Arjuna was cheerless that's why Vimna is used because it means disappointed not vice versa.
2). Meaning of every word used in the Shloka
Here's the Shloka from BORI CE which is mistranslated by Karna fans :-
64 बभूव विमनाः पार्थॊ दैवम इत्य अनुचिन्तयन
नयवर्तत ततॊ राजन नेदम अस्तीति चाब्रवीत
Now here is the meaning of words used in the shloka :-
बभूव:- Became
विमनाः :- exceedingly cheerless
पार्थॊ:- Partha
दैवम इत्य अनुचिन्तयन:- Regarding it all as the work of destiny
नयवर्तत:- Ceased
ततॊ:- He then
राजन:- o king
नेदम अस्तीति चाब्रवीत:- to make further efforts, saying, he had not the power which he had before
3). Mistranslation by Bibek Debroy
Here's the translation given by Bibek Debroy of this shloka :-
Partha was cheerless and thought.‘O king! He started to retreat and said, “This is nothing but destiny.” The immensely intelligent one collected the remaining wives and the remaining jewels and went to Kurukshetra.
Here Bibek Debroy has himself added the word "retreat" in the translation which is evident from the fact that none of any word used in the shloka means retreat or fled away as per Sanskrit dictionary. So it is clear that Bibek Debroy has mistranslated the verse.Bibek Debroy is a great scholar and he did a lot of hardwork in translating BORI CE in English but afterall he is also a human being like us so he can also make mistakes while translating the verses
4). Correct translation of the shloka
Here's the correct translation of the shloka :-
Regarding it all as the work of destiny, he became exceedingly cheerless. He then ceased, O king, to make further efforts, saying, he had not the power which he had before
KMG also gave the same translation of the shloka. Here's the link :- www.sacred-texts.com/hin/m16/m16007.htm
Not only KMG but P.C Roy also gave the same translation of the shloka.
Conclusion :- As per BORI CE and KMG as well Arjuna was never defeated by robbers
- CHAMPION
