- Saved Drona from Crocodiles and got rewarded with Brahmasira weapon.
- Defeated Sauvira and King of Yavanas at a very young age,whom Pandu failed to bring under subjection during his digvijay.
- Promised he would fulfil Drona's gurudakshina even before Drona mentioned the task.AND completed that promise.
- Captured Panchal king Drupad as a Guru Dakshina to Drona .(Karna and Kauravas failed to do so and got defeated)
- Defeated Gandharva Angarparna without even using any bow,just used a torch.
- Alone warrior to hit the target at Druapadi Swayamwar where all others failed,later defeated Karna in the post swayamwar skirmish.
- Seated on Agni's chariot he and Krishna defeated all demi gods including Indra,Varuna and Surya at Khandava and satisfied Agni's hunger.

- In Virat battle,he alone vanquished the entire battalion of kauravas,defeated Bhishma,Drona,Karna,Duryodhan and every Maharathi in Kaurav force and after defeating them,he did not slay,just put them to sleep.
- Spared the lives of Mayasura,Angaraparna,Jayadrath, all Kauravas at Ghoshyatra and all Kauravas AGAIN at Virat.
